Topic: Absolute's response when I plug in a USB DVD drive

udevil: error 64: unable to determine device fstype - specify with -t

This suggests that there is no automount facility.

I have mounted the drive manually but how may I arrange automounting in  'Absolute'?

Re: Absolute's response when I plug in a USB DVD drive

In spacefm there is an option to automount optical drives under the devices submenu.
Device -> settings -> automount
where there are options of mounting opotical drive , removable drive , directories , partitions

Re: Absolute's response when I plug in a USB DVD drive

I believe it was enabled by default.

I've noticed with usb drives that it sometimes does / does not work.

It may just be glitches with the drives.

Re: Absolute's response when I plug in a USB DVD drive

There should be a different approach when mounting the usb-drive without any media in it.
Space fm outmounts the drive when a media is inserted.
For mounting the usb-drive when media-empty the file /etc/fstab needs additional configuration enrties.
