Topic: Boot issue

It seems as if my install of AL 14.12 on a Lenovo U330p is very sensitive for changes in hardware environment. For instance, if the PC ran on AC during my latest session but on battery at the next startup, the boot process often freezes. I have to reboot (cold start) once or twice to complete the process.
This can also happen if some other peripheral (printer, external DVD) was attached during the previous session but removed afterwards.
If no changes have been made, the boot process runs smoothly.
Any ideas how to solve this?
UPDATE: disabling bluetooth (which I never use) in BIOS has been an improvement. Still a slower boot when going from AC to battery, but it doesn't freeze. And booting when hardware environment is unchanged seems to be faster than before.
