Hello, kinda new to Absolute, not new to Linux
I mostly hang out at LinuxQuestions.org and bother people there Roll Eyes

I make Debian and *buntu livecd's, see here, my site and my softpedia stuff

I was gonna install Absolute into my lappy, a old Toshiba 7000CT 266mhz 160mb ram, 4gb hdd

BUT; although Absolute says its for older hardware with modest specs
I question the Open Office stuff?
and the pretty big installed size

So, no complaints as Absolute rocks!

But, was wonderin if we(the people) could possibly get/build ourselves a Absolute Light?

I would love to see a light version.  A live cd would be in order as well.

I recognize you from LQ.....I think you've helped me more than once.... Grin

I'm not much help here other than spam removal.... Tongue

Hey Indy452
whats up?

err....can I make the install cd "lighter" by just removing selected pkg's from iso/absolute or what?
would I have to edit initrd.img/usr/lib/setup/* or what?

mmmm....If I can just remove certain pkgs, like Openoffice from iso and it works I'll be happy
as Absolute full install wont fit on my 2.5GB HDD lappy!?

any ideas?
