Gtk themes and no more kde/k3b
Download page:

Gtk themes engines included along with customized theme changing
utility (gtk-chtheme) that calls script that changes icewm theme, pcmanfm
desktop background and rox-filer background.
(Look at  /usr/local/bin/settheme to see what it does)
Makes our lightweight
interface more cohesive, but if any setting should fail it does so silently . . .
so you can hack away changing stuff and it will not mess up your system.

Brasero has replaced K3B.
Kdelibs, kdemultimedia and arts have all been removed.
If you want KDE, you can safely drop in the entire Slackware KDE
packages -- but for us UI-stay-out-of-my-way types,
we've eliminated more overhead.

Also since last release updates include: Firefox, seamonkey, flash plugin, absvolume,
Gimp and the file managers (pcmanfm and Rox-filer), icewm and
a number of scripts in the a/etc package.

The list below is since the last release:

Added. Replaces K3B and eliminates need for KDE libs as well
as arts packages. i know we all like k3b a bit better, but
it takes too many packages and to much effort to support one
application. GST plugins were added in support (audio burning
and others) and they will also be helpful for those who like to
compile totem and other multimedia related GTK apps.
Added. GTK theme engines, somewhat limited but diverse:
clearlooks, warm, gray and black themes.
Updated. Themes straightened out, matching GTK themes.
Recompiled without "root" warnings as well as adding a couple
backgrounds for use in various themes.
Recompiled with desktop right-click menu including GTK theme-setting
Updated for insertion of blank CDs to open Brasero
      Updated set system font script,
aded settheme script - this is called by new gtk-chtheme
customized application. Since GTK engines are now installed, this
utility can be used to change the theme, and calls script that changes
icewm theme, desktop background of pcmanfm, as well as window background
      in ROX-Filer. Also added backgrounds.
K3B, kdelibs, kdemutimedia and arts have all been removed.

It looks like absolute is a strong contender for the top slackware derivative. It's certainly now in the class of vector of zenwalk. I am enjoying watching the evolution of this distro. Congrats.

(v13.0.2) when attempting to open a *.chm file with xchm:

xchm: error while loading shared libraries: libwx_gtk2ud_aui-2.8.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

as a workaround, i converted *.chm files into *.pdf instead using chm2pdf...
