Welcome.

The old forum was moved due to site relocation
(absolute linux now has its own domain, yea!)

The forum on SourceForge has proven to be a hurdle to new members --
at least that seems to be the case.
So I have gone the auto-install route of putting SMF forum up on the
new absolute site and I will see how it goes.

Hopefully users won't feel like they have to jump through hoops to
get on here and we can get back to meaningful discussions of the
distribution.

Hope to hear from you all very soon.

Before I login I see two categories, General Discussion and Update Announcements.

After login all I see is the Update Announcements forum.

For whatever reason the default on the general discussion was set NOT to display to whomever the global moderator was. Not sure where the logic was in that as a default -- but at least it was easy to spot once pointed out.

Naturally I changed it.

I'm gonna need some more privileges, too.  I can't get to any of the admin stuff.  Makes it kind of hard to deal with spammers.

I just became aware of absolutelinux earlier today, am burning the iso as we speak.  Nice brand new forum!
